Video production for science, education and technology

Over 20 years of experience working with educators, scientists and innovators across both the learning and commerce sectors. Producing educational film and marketing materials for companies and individuals working in these fields. Nexus produced the Entrepreneur Club series whilst it ran at University of Edinburgh Business School and afterwards worked directly with Edinburgh Innovations. Subsequently we have worked with The University of Strathclyde, Accubio Limited in Alva, CloudEARTHi, and many others understandably subject to NDA. We have designed motion graphics, animations and soundscapes for many of the projects we have worked on in science, education and technology. We also own an EyeDirect Mark II for easy use of autocue and for facilitating remote interviews when required.

“Based on the excellent service we have received from Nexus I would have no hesitation in recommending the company. They always ensure they have a clear grasp of the project brief and in all cases have been able to provide advice on the technical capabilities to exceed our expectations. They are highly reliable, can work to tight deadlines and keep you fully informed of progress throughout the duration of the project.”

“As part of our ongoing national flood risk awareness campaign, SEPA has an educational strand which takes a bespoke flooding play into schools across Scotland. To help share this with a wider audience, SEPA commissioned Nexus to produce a film which captured both the performance, and the wider context of new flood warning & informing services. From start to finish Nexus was a pleasure to work with, with every stage well consulted, briefed and delivered. The final product was exactly what we wanted, of excellent quality and met both tight budgets and deadlines.I’d have no hesitation in recommending their services.”

Stewart Prodger, Communications & Customer Service Manager, Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA)

"My experience working with Pete has always been excellent. From our initial interactions about a project to the final product, every step is always handled with utmost professionalism and skill. The production values of the videos delivered by Nexus were exceptional. The attention to detail, from the crisp editing to the integration of graphics and sound, truly brought the content to life. The ability to understand and enhance the educational material visually made the final product not just informative but also engaging for a broad audience.

The working relationship we developed was really positive: Pete was incredibly receptive to feedback and showed a genuine interest in understanding the nuances of the content. This collaborative approach resulted in a product that exceeded my expectations. Pete’s ability to adapt to the specific needs of an academic project while maintaining a creative edge was impressive.

I highly recommend Nexus to anyone looking for top-notch video editing services. Whether it's for academic, professional, or personal projects, his skill, dedication, and ability to deliver high-quality production will benefit your content."
